Default Printers

Microsoft Visual FoxPro - Programmer Exchange

Jeff
Hello All and Thanks in Advance for the Help.

This isn't really a Fox question but as I've said before, you are my people
so I'm asking here.

Does anyone know of a command line utility for changing the Windows Default
Printer (In Win XP).

The reason I need this is that I have some batch jobs that run overnight
where the default printer needs to be a network printer. During the day when
I'm in the office I'd like the default printer to be my printer. Not all of
the batch jobs are VFP. Some of them just print to the Windows Default
Printer. I'd like to be able to put the following in the Windows Task
Schedule:

11 PM Daily SET WINDOWS DEFAULT PRINTER TO NETWORK PRINTER
7 AM Daily SET WINDOWS DEFAULT PRINTER TO LOCAL PRINTER

Anybody have any ideas? Can a simple utility be coded in VFP?

Thanks,

Jeff
